Our Prep students recently enjoyed a very special visit from the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia. It was a fantastic opportunity for our youngest learners to discover the important role the Royal Flying Doctor Service plays in supporting people living in rural and remote communities across Australia.
It was also a great opportunity to broaden students’ understanding of community helpers beyond the more familiar examples of fire, police and ambulance services.
The visit linked perfectly with the Prep inquiry learning unit on community helpers, helping students see the many different ways people work together to care for others and support communities.
A big thank you to the Prep team for organising this valuable learning experience for their students and to the Royal Flying Doctor Service for providing such an engaging and memorable visit.
